Women's Rights and Abortion Access

Paid family leave. 

Folks should not have to choose between maintaining their source of income and taking care of their children, elderly family members, or others unable to care for themselves. As your State Senator, I will advocate for Pennsylvania to join its neighboring states and alleviate worries of primary caregivers. 

Access to safe and legal abortions. 

Government should not have a right to interfere with an individual’s right to choose what is best for them, their body, and their families. Access to all healthcare services—including reproductive services—is essential to ensure equity. I will oppose any attempts to eliminate the right to choose and will combat legislation that attempts to restrict the freedoms granted under Roe v. Wade.

Expand access to contraceptives. 

One should not be denied access to birth control even if they are uninsured or their employer opposes it. I will work to ensure equitable access to contraceptives throughout the Commonwealth.
